Upon our arrival Lao Cai railway station in the early morning, driver should bring you to Sapa town, which is 35 km away by car. We set off to discover Sapa and its nearby villages of Thank Kim and Thanh Phu, it is in a spectacularly beautiful valley and home to Tay people. We have ample opportunities to see how they live and give wonderful insights into their way of life. On the long way we stop at one of the friendly villages and enjoy a lunch at the local restaurant. Finally, we arrive in Sin Chai village, nestling in a beautiful region. Tonight we spend a memorable night in the traditional house of a Dao family.
Day 2: Sin Chai - Suoi Thau - Overnight on the train (B, L, D)
The beautiful Sin Chai is surrounded by verdant hills and mountains. We set off by a hike through small villages, lush rice terraces and to Suoi Thau villages, situated in a region of sculpted rice terraces and home to Red Dao people, we continue on trekking, before our transfer to Lao Cai railway station for an overnight train back to Hanoi, arriving Hanoi at 5am the following day.
